Now I have a dilemma (yes, I had to look it up to spell it correctly). Those of you who know I’ve already written and published a book–and if you don’t know, check the sections of this site–may or may not know that I have been writing a second book. Sure, it’s been taking me a long time to complete, but I’m probably 80% there. Referencing the first book again, “Memoirs of a Self Proclaimed Genius”, you may recall me making reference to my ex-wife. Plus, since the divorce, I’ve never really referred to her very nicely. And because of this, I had decided this would be the subject matter for the second book. I’ve documented the nature of our relationship from start to finish, noting where things were good and when things began to go awry. I then listed her episodes of debauchery, our spiraling downfall, and our ensuing divorce. I think it’s very entertaining.
Here’s the problem, my ex-wife (CrazyBitch as I like to refer to her) and I have since buried the hatchet. Well, I suppose I should say that I have buried the hatchet. Let’s face it, she had nothing to concern herself with anymore, she got what she wanted and has been living a good life since. I on the other hand, was the one still holding a grudge. There were a lot of terrible things that happened and I always ended up with the short end of the stick. But, since we had numerous occasions coming up involving our children, I figured it would be good to be able to be in the same room together without me trying to figure out how to embarrass her. And since we have made up, we’ve actually become quite friendly again.
The dilemma. Do I complete this project and publish it? Will I be able to complete it in the same tone as the rest now that we are friends again? If I complete and publish, will this ruin our friendship? Do I bring this up to her and get her opinion on the subject? I could really use some advise on this matter. Please do give me an opinion. Thanks for listening.
